Dean's Dogs raises awareness and funding for small, independent rescues nationwide—the ones doing life-saving work with little visibility and even fewer resources. We amplify their stories, connect them with donors, and direct funding where it's needed most.
The Challenge
Rescues are overwhelmed and underfunded, forced to make impossible decisions every day. Too often, dogs go without care—or worse—simply because the resources aren't there.
Our Response
We don't fund just one shelter—we move where the need is greatest. By identifying critical gaps across multiple rescue partners, we deploy targeted funding quickly—so dogs get the care they need and a real chance at a home.
Music with a Mission
Hootie & the Blowfish bassist Dean Felber has spent years on the road. Along the way, he and his wife, Andrea, began to notice a common thread in city after city: small, under-resourced rescues doing extraordinary work with little recognition or support.
That experience stayed with them—and in 2024, they turned it into action.
Dean's Dogs was founded on a simple yet powerful belief: the people who save dogs deserve to be seen, supported, and funded. It's a mission rooted in both perspective and personal commitment—one that begins at home, where Dean and Andrea share their lives with five rescue dogs of their own.
